Almost ready! The new platform at LA Union Station

Yesterday, they opened up the connection to the tunnel (although still not using the platform). It looks very light and fresh. The only thing missing is the sign over the opening with the Track numbers.

It was open at 4am today, just in time too; the extra capacity was necessary to handle a morning meltdown.

I still haven't come in or left on it, but I have done part of my afternoon walk along its length. They did a really nice job!

(If I get to the station in time, I walk the platform for exercise).

Finally arrived on Platform 7 (track 13)! Nice and new. Now, when will they paint/clean up the other platforms?
